We also offer an overlocker service, embroidery machine service, cover-stitch service and Brother multi-needle embroidery machine service - and in most cases we have your sewing machine serviced and ready in 3 weekdays!

Our Sewing Machine Servicing and Repair technicians will keep you sewing at your best - our experienced technicians can service all makes and models of machines, and because they work within our store, you can bring your machine to us and pick it up without having to book a time.

Machine Service Pricing

  • Inspect and Quote $50 - we'll inspect your machine and diagnose your problem.  Once quoted, your deposit is taken off of the completed price.  If you choose not to go ahead, your deposit covers the charge of diagnosing the machine.
  • Basic Function Model: $110 - very simple little sewing machine, typically purchased from a department store, and has no stitch width control
  • Standard Function Model: $145 - this service is for all standard sized sewing machines.  This machine has a stitch selection dial or a LCD screen and a normal sized stitching area. 
  • Quilting Function Model: $165 - this service is for all larger sized sewing machines (excluding machines on frames or mounted into a sit-down table).  These typically have a larger LCD screen, and are longer in the sewing area.
  • Embroidery and Sewing Function Model Standard Size $165 - this service is for a sewing machine that does both sewing and machine embroidery (that is it has an embroidery arm and hoop).  Machines with an embroidery area under 200mm wide
  • Embroidery and Sewing Function Model Plus Size $185 - this service is for a sewing machine that does both sewing and machine embroidery (that is it has an embroidery arm and hoop).  Embroidery area 200mm plus wide
  • Embroidery Only Service Standard Size $145 - for machines that only function for embroidery. Embroidery area under 200mm wide
  • Embroidery Only Service Plus Size $155 - for machines that only function for embroidery. Embroidery area 200mm plus wide
  • 3 or 4 Thread Overlocker $155 - for all overlockers without a coverstitch function.
  • 5 to 8 Thread Overlocker $185 - for overlockers with the added ability to do a chain stitch or coverstitch.
  • Coverstitch Only $155 - for coverstitch machines

For all machine servicing, Sewer's Delight asks for a $50 deposit at time of booking, which will be adjusted from the total invoice once completed. We allow a safety net of an additional $40 for any unforeseen parts or labour.

Understanding how important your machine is to you, Sewer's Delight will make every effort to get your machine back to you within 3 weekdays, however in peak periods this may extend to 7. On occasion, we may be delayed by parts availability, or machine diagnostics. We are unable to prioritize servicing out of order.
